Assion and Primosch Establish new Consultancy with Partners
BOC Consult GmbH - Consultancy for Special Situations & Crisis
Düsseldorf, March 2024 - Rüdiger O. Assion and Ernst Primosch, two former DAX communication chiefs and heavyweights in the German communication scene, are joining forces with five partners to establish a new consultancy firm named BOC Consult GmbH with offices in the DACH region. BOC Consult, commencing its operations in March, will operate as a highly specialized consultancy in the fields of Public Affairs, Investor Relations, Labor Relations, and Communication, providing support to companies and decision-makers in special situations such as crises and transactions.
Rüdiger Assion previously served as the Head of Financial Communication for the US agency Edelman in the DACH region, and prior to that, held executive positions at Swiss derivatives bank Leonteq, as Corporate Communications Chief of Deutsche Börse AG, as well as in leadership roles at General Motors, VW Group, and BMW Group.
Ernst Primosch served as the long-time Global Communications Chief of Henkel, followed by roles as CEO at Hill & Knowlton and Edelman. In 2019, he founded Bureau of Communication GmbH, a comprehensive communications and brand consultancy, which acquired PR-Journal Verlag GmbH in 2021 and now acts as a shareholder in BOC Consult GmbH.
The consultancy also includes partnerships with other renowned and well-known figures, such as Dr. Philipp Rösler, former FDP Federal Minister and Vice Chancellor of Germany, and Dr. Ulf Gartzke, former Head of the Washington office of the CSU-affiliated Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung and former World Bank employee. Bringing expertise from the financial sector is Jan Schoch, an investment banker and Swiss entrepreneur, founder of Leonteq Securities AG, and former employee of J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Lehman Brothers. In the field of labor relations, Klaus Franz, a unionist and former Supervisory Board and European Works Council Chairman of General Motors and Opel, contributes his expertise. Michael Krons, a renowned journalist, political scientist, and media expert who also teaches as a lecturer at the University of Bonn and has held senior positions at ARD, ZDF, n-tv, and FAZ, represents the media competence of BOC Consult.
The consultancy is headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany and operates offices in Vienna, Austria, and Zurich, Switzerland.
